Mrs. Briseno, formerly with the Department of Family and Protective Services, and the Children's Advocacy Center, brings a wealth of knowledge in criminal justice and social work. She holds associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees in Criminal Justice and is nearing completion of a second master’s in Social Work, with a focus on Trauma and Addiction Studies. Driven by the disconnect she observed between the legal field and client success, Ms. Briseno is committed to addressing the social determinants—such as mental health, addiction, homelessness, and education gaps —that impact individuals in the criminal justice system.
