Miranda, a California native, realized she was in the wild, wild West, so she took it one
step further and moved to Texas, to be with real cowboys, after she obtained two
Bachelor’s degrees, paralegal certificate, and minor from California State University,
Chico.
Once settled in Texas, Miranda became a Texas CPI Investigator where she honed her
investigative skills and family-focused support.
Miranda, then went on to become a Social Emotional Behavioral Specialist with VISD
(Victoria Independent School District), and obtained her Master’s Degree. Miranda
gained valuable knowledge in operations and leadership. She also was able to
spearhead and implement several programs that helped to improve the culture and
climate for students and staff of the campus which in turn prepared the campus for their underdog story.
Miranda seized the opportunity to apply with the Crossroads Public Defenders Office as
an Investigator. The rest is history. Miranda’s go-getter attitude and ability to challenge
the norm will add a valuable viewpoint when creating solution-focused results.
